Fulbridge Academy

The Fulbridge Academy is a very friendly and successful school. It is a National School of Creativity, a Cambridge Primary Review Trust Alliance school and a Whole Education Partner school. The original building was opened in 1935 but we have recently expanded from a 3 to 4 form entry school and opened a new building in December 2014 for Years 4 and 5. We were judged outstanding in all Ofsted judgement areas in 2012 and a year later converted to an Academy. We support other schools, through our liaison with the Cambridge Teaching School Network, having 4 Specialist Leaders in Education on our staff. We have visitors from all over the country who come to see our creative curriculum approach in action and see the impact of how our creative and very visual environment supports the learning. We are a very supportive school and are keen to develop staff to become effective leaders and outstanding teachers. The children are our greatest asset as they are very well behaved and enjoy a love of learning. We truly deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, recognising the importance of dance, drama, music and PE as well as the other curriculum areas. Extra-curricular clubs are also an important part of our provision. We have specialist PE and Performing Arts teams and our facilities include a dance studio and an all weather sports area. Our website will tell you all about our Academy in great detail but a visit will be a very worthwhile experience to ensure that you enjoy the chance to see our innovative and creative approach in action.
