St Thomas More Catholic Primary School

St Thomas More is part of St John the Baptist Multi-Academy Trust and is a large, happy, multi-cultural community working through prayer, celebration and learning to achieve excellence. We value and respect all the languages and faiths within our community. We see each child as an individual and aim to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment in which they can flourish and realise their potential. Our Catholic ethos permeates all aspects of school life.
We have approximately 413 children on roll in 15 classes. The school comprises of a Foundation Stage Unit, 4 classes in KS1 and 9 classes in KS2. Each class has children of mixed abilities who are supported by their class teachers, Nursery Nurses, Higher Level TAs, TAs and Bi-lingual Teaching Assistants.
At St Thomas More we have a vibrant and hands-on approach to learning and use a range of new and exciting technologies to support and enhance our children’s learning. Feel the buzz as you step into any of our classrooms as children are engaged in and excited by their learning.
Our children behave exceptionally well, are polite and well-mannered and enjoy their learning. Our staff are friendly, hard-working and very supportive of each other.
We teach Foundation Subjects through Primary Matters, which ensures that all learning is inspiring, fun, active and meaningful for all children.
Visits are warmly welcomed from talented and enthusiastic applicants who are keen learners, have high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour and can work effectively as a team member.
