Marshfields School

Marshfields is a mixed, day, Community Special School. We cater for up to 180 learners aged from 11- 19 of whom has a statement of special need, primarily for moderate learning difficulties. The School provides a positive, supportive and caring environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
There is a Post 16 unit with an emphasis on giving its young people a range of experiences including Life Skills, Life in the Community and Independent skills. Marshfields celebrates and recognises achivement at every opportunity, the school holds half termly reward assemblies to celebrate the success of its pupils.
We promote good behaviour, positive self-image and encourage our pupils to become effective communicators. The local community work with us to enable all pupils are able to develop social skills and bring learning to life as well as promoting effective working relationships between parents, carers and external agencies.
