Heritage Park Primary School

Heritage Park is a popular one form entry primary school to the south-east of Peterborough that is always over-subscribed.  Although the school was built in 1997 visitors often find this hard to believe as the building has been very well-maintained and is very well resourced.
The children at Heritage Park are polite, very well behaved and are very proud of their school.  They adopt a positive attitude towards learning which is enhanced by the Growth Mindsets philosophy which has been adopted throughout the school.  The children enjoy our cross-curricular approach to the curriculum, together with the many visits out of school and visitors into school that we arrange in order to enrich the teaching and learning.  There are many clubs and extra-curricular activities on offer and the children are keen to be involved with these.
The staff are hard-working and friendly and very supportive of each other.  Each class has its own teaching assistant, in addition to teaching assistants employed to support children with special needs on a one-to-one basis.  All staff are given the opportunity to benefit from high quality CPD in order to increase their knowledge and enhance their career progression.
The school has received many awards and currently holds the International Schools Awards, Inclusion Quality Mark, the Basic Skills Quality Mark, Artsmark Gold, Healthy Schools Award, Primary Science Quality Mark, Eco Schools and Governor Mark.
