Caverstede Nursery School

As the only Local Authority maintained nursery school in Peterborough we have been continuously rated as Ofsted outstanding since 2006.
We provide 40 out of 160 places for children with special educational needs and disabilities and they benefit from access to our sensory room and multi-sensory environment. Every child within the school is supported by our enabling indoor and outdoor environments which are calm but stimulating.
We ensure free flow access between indoors and outdoors throughout the session for all children. Our Woodland garden is regularly used for forest school experiences and is part of our ‘magical’ outdoor area. Before and after school care is a service we also offer. Parents are supported through a high ratio of staff to children in the classrooms with additional support from our SEN and Family Services team, providing groups, activities, respite care and support in the home.
Opportunities are available for Continuous Professional Development for all Centre team members. We deliver training to other schools and settings and are also part of the Paragon Teaching School Alliance.
