Braybrook Primary School

Braybrook Primary Academy is a small community primary school situated on the south side of the city, which serves the community in and around Orton Goldhay. Following recent growth and expansion, the school now has 9 classes, who come together as our ‘Braybrook Family’, led by a friendly, supportive and dynamic team of adult ‘leading learners’.
The school building accommodates a welcoming reception area, a large school hall, ‘The Hub’ reading zone, a food technology room and the ‘Rainbow Room’, which is used by our two in-house Family Liaison Officers. A mobile classroom currently accommodates our Year 5 ‘Learning Zone’. All classrooms benefit from Smartboard technology and iPad access and all staff are equipped with individual laptops, to aid in the planning, resourcing and enriching of high quality teaching and learning opportunities. In addition to this, the school benefits from an extensive outdoor area, which is well-used throughout the year, including an allotment area and orchard, an outdoor classroom, a story circle, a playground and adventure activity play area and large field, which extends beyond the school grounds.
At Braybrook Primary Academy, we want children and adults to be happy; learning and growing in a safe environment which values the whole person. We believe that our experiences, irrespective of our culture, country of origin, faith or background, make our school family all the more exciting and enriching to be a part of. Our school is a place where diversity and difference are celebrated and embraced and where each individual is valued for all that they bring to our learning community.
Our vision statement encourages all stakeholders to ‘Reach for the stars’, as we aspire to ‘be the best that we can be’. True to this, we plan collaboratively to provide creative and exciting experiences and learning opportunities, which engage and inspire all learners and immerse them within each and every themed ‘Imaginative Learning Project’. By the time that they leave us in Year 6, we want all children to have developed the skills and attributes to be: independent and successful learners; happy, healthy and confident individuals and responsible and caring citizens.
Whether you are looking to take that exciting first step or that challenging next step in your career, the team at Braybrook Primary Academy would be delighted to welcome you aboard and support your continuing professional development.
