New cinema complex to be built in Peterborough

Work started last week on a new £60 million cinema development in Queensgate Shopping Centre.
Construction is now underway on a large and exciting project to create a brand new 10-screen cinema complex with several restaurants and shops. The cinema will be housed in a 77,000 square foot extension of Queensgate Shopping Centre and will use some unused space from John Lewis.
The plans will be executed in two phases. The first phase started last week and is expected to be completed by 2020. The second phase is hoped to be finalised by 2021.
This new development will create 200 jobs and expand the city’s leisure scene, providing even more state of the art entertainment for the people of Peterborough.
